I dislike the buttons but the rest is ok. And from what I’ve read in the reviews the quality of the fit & finish is on par with what a Benz should be. I remember when I went in an ML of the period, I was expecting a cheap feeling. Not so at all.

I think W212s are proving to be pretty solid. One that age might cost as much as a loaded Corolla. That one looks pretty loaded, I notice it is a distronic car, possibly Designo interior color.
I’ve had a couple of them, closest thing to the W124 since those days, I think.

These are actually great. I have nothing bad to say about them. Most common problem is fading wood trim, usually taken care of under warranty. Next most common problem is.... they still have to be serviced regularly? Pre-facelift 212's are my personal favorite E, and E-class is best class.

Nice looking car. Not Designo, but unusual color combo, high option load, price isn’t terrible and can be negotiated I am sure. Not a bad machine for the money.

The W220 really does have a much better layout. Seat controls on the doors, buttons flank the screen, much more user friendly.

But your something is so big! E is the best all around. Really good at everything you want a car to be good at. Whereas S doesn’t have much on the way of driving dynamics or parking ease.

I agree. Always hated that entire generation of Mercedes with all those plastic buttons filling the dash. I still want an E63 (wagon?) from that generation but when I test drove one the interior put me off so much. The new interiors are so much better it’s amazing.
